Ethel and Ernest at festivals in Switzerland and Germany


Ethel and Ernest will be screened at the Fantoche festival in Switzerland (5th – 10th of September 2017). It will have three screenings, and animation director Peter Dodd will be at the festival to present the film.

Fantoche is Switzerland’s most prestigious animated film festival and is one of the leading events for the medium in the world. It takes place every year in September over the course of six days in the Swiss town of Baden. The festival, which benefits from broad media coverage, attracts both industry professionals and the general public – over 25,500 ticket sales were recorded in 2015.

Ethel and Ernest is also heading to Frankfurt as it has  been selected in the official competition at the ‘LUCAS International Film Festival for Young Film Lovers’.  Animation director Peter Dodd will be attending this festival.

This is the 40th year of the festival. It is Germany’s oldest festival for young film lovers and offers a wide spectrum of international fiction, documentary, animation and experimental films.

The Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta held their inaugural SCAD AnimationFest from August 9 -10th.  Ethel and Ernest was chosen to close the festival as their Directors’ Choice film.

Ethel and Ernest wins Best Feature Film at Anima Mundi

Ethel and Ernest has won the prize for Best Feature film at the 25th Anima Mundi festival in São Paulo.

345 films were selected for the festival from 45 countries. Over 17 days, more that 35 thousand people visited Anima Mundi in the capitals of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. The feature film prizes were awarded by public vote.
