The International Confederation of Art Cinemas is proud to announce that the ART CINEMA AWARD at the 28th Ciné Junior went to ETHEL AND ERNEST.

Jury’s decision:

A touching movie that seduces by the fluidity of its narration, the charm and elegance of its animation, the balance found between lightness and seriousness and its capacity to mix personal history and History with capital H.
The movie also shows an infinite tenderness for its two characters, a modest and rather ordinary English couple whose life we follow, from their first encounter to their last breath, while crossing the 20th century and its lot of technological upheaval, murderous conflicts and lost illusions.
